Nailed our last long run today. 19.8 miles in 2:59:25 negative splitting the whole way. 9:14 ->8:43/mi pace. 20 days 'til USMC and hopefully a 3:40:00. All systems appear to be go and it's hopefully just a matter of execution (and praying to avoid terrible race conditions like 80 and humid). Even have a trip to the Grand Canyon scheduled during taper so we don't get distracted and go stir crazy.

Then I can stop this crazy marathon nonsense and get back to tris for next season

Nice job!  I am doing Philly in 6 weeks.  I have a kids free trip with the hubby to New Orleans during my taper!

Great job!  Just don't do the "hike from rim to river and back in one day" thing.  That wiped me out for three days.

Good luck at USMC!

We're hiking rim to river and back over 3 days We're spending two nights at Phantom Ranch which should be pretty awesome. I;m excited to have a lot of bottom time on Wednesday to explore.
