Finally broke 5000, I guess walking to work in -5  kicks up the point value a little.

I promised I would ride the bike to dinner tonight, about a 4.5 mile ride each way.  It's 5 degrees right now and I am praying it won't get much colder in the next few hours.  Although, what's the big difference when it's this cold...  I am going to go and lay out my many layers now, wish me luck.

It was -3 when we got home, so I am taking credit for the full 8 points because it was already dark when we headed out.  I had to guess on the time, I tried to be conservative.  But still, my 630 pt ride doesn't touch some of you guys!

Yeah, the clothing is still a mystery. I was really quite sweaty, my goggles didn't last more than 3 miles.  But I'll take sweaty over cold, any day, as long as I don't have to stop

Nice job on the biking Bill. I see you are ahead of me now.

Going to try and get a 3 hours ski in on Saturday but with the wearmer temp by then I won't get as many points.

Hmmm, might have to do my long bike ride outside this weekend to try to keep up with Bill. You're a maniac! Way to get out there on these deep freeze days that amplify on the ENDURE part of endurance sports.

Don't worry Lenny - heading to Dallas next week for 3 days of 60+ temps and it is supposed to be 37 on Sunday here to ruin the great snow conditions we currently have!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Looks like we are going to have temps in the 30's starting this weekend too. Glad Saturday is my last long ski before the big race.

life has thrown a few curveballs my way so havent been tallying stuff as my ability to get out running in the cold as consistently as i would have liked and i therefore cant back up my smack, but was thinking of y'all plugging away during my jaunt at -10F this AM.  I will admit it was kind of by default cuz i couldnt find my card for the gym since i havent been there in a while but i guess that just means it was meant to be.  keep on truckin'!

Life throwing you curveballs - usually means something.  You missing workouts or not getting to the gym in awhile is unlike you, Sensei.

I am glad we're using wunderground.com and not the thermometer on my deck, because I just realized my bike ride on Saturday earned me some points!  It was just a hair over 40 on the deck, but was 35 in the weather history.  Woo-hoo!

Love my winter bike, it even handled major slushies well.  I did have a little spill, though, on a bridge that had poorly cleared snow cover and lots of ruts.  Oh well.  It was quite a different ride from Wednesday!  Now we've had a ton of melting since, the paths are nearly good enough for the roadie.
