Subject: RE: Rest time between last race and first tri? Just my personal experience, but I did the same when I was first starting out. My first tri was NOT good, and I blame the half mary. However, I was also a new runner and it was my first half mary as well. I had a hard time staying motivated after the run and felt tired/flat. And the first tri might have been hard regardless. If you have running experience, and can plan your schedule well for those two weeks (including rest/recovery) you can probably do it. But I don't think you can necessary depend on your first triathlon being as good as if you'd followed a schedule with that as your main race. |
