Swim
  • 16m 23s
  • 500 yards
  • 03m 17s / 100 yards
Comments:

The swim felt alot longer than 500 yards. Based on my ultimate time, I would guess the length was 700yrds? I felt I improved on my navigation - much less zigging and zagging. It took a while to get used to the taste of salt water!
Transition 1
  • 03m 36s
Comments:

I had a tough time getting my wetsuit off and my cycling shirt on, otherwise OK.
Bike
  • 47m 33s
  • 15 miles
  • 18.93 mile/hr
Comments:

The bike course was fun. It was very well marked and manned.
Transition 2
  • 00m 56s
Comments:

The bike rack was short, so it was challenging to get the bike back onto the rack. I had my running shoes opened wide so it was easy to slide my feet into them
What would you do differently?:

Remember to put my running bib on! Oops
Run
  • 21m 51s
  • 3 miles
  • 07m 17s  min/mile
Comments:

The run felt short, and my pace would suggest that. I heard someone say that the run was only 2.8miles (payback for the swim?) I brough my water bottle with me and that worked out well.
What would you do differently?:

Bring a cheapo water bottle with me so that when I finish the water, I can just toss the bottle.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

I felt I paced myself very well and I wasn't trying to go 'all out'

Event comments:

This was really a good race. I would do it again. I was very impressed with the number of volunteers on the bike and run courses

Thanks for the report! I was there too! It was a beautiful day to race. Yes, the swim was definitley longer than the 500yds. During one of my sightings, I even asked another swimmer where the hell are we supposed to swim to, because it seemed to take forever. I also got stung by a jellyfish on my face, which felt like sunburn in the water. Overall though it was a great quick race!! See you next season!

Great Job! I was there too. The swim was long -took me about 11:30, but two weeks before, was the Greenwich 1 mile swim and that was too short (went 15:45...those times don't make sense!). Maybe next race they'll get it just right
I was happy the run was short, that finish on the beach nearly killed me!
