Pre-race routine:

got up at 545, had a banana and some water. Got to the race a little late, btu had a GU and did some stretches

Was running a little late, did some stretching and a light 4 min jog

left it all out there. my first ever half and I was shooting for a 7:15 pace, but was able to come in at a 7:07 so I'm very happy.
What would you do differently?:

Post race
Warm down:

met some friends who ran/watched, stretched a bit and did a 5 min jog. My calf cramped up really bad during my cool down and my hamstrings were really tight

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not much. hamstring was sore to start, but I pushed through it with no problem

Congrats on an amazing race Chad!  It definitely looks like you did leave it all out there!  So was your avg HR 155?  We need to do some Lactate Threshold tests asap to help with your training and establishing your zones.  Nonetheless, we don't want to change too much because clearly what you're doing is working.

Keep it up bro!  Really looking forward to seeing what you can do next year!
