I live near Cherry Creek state park, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a general practitioner doctor within 15 miles of here who works with athletes and understands issues such as overtraining, etc.

Thanks!

Not sure if it's exactly 15 miles, but Dr. Annette Parent-Kenney at Littleton Balanced Health is excellent.  Highly recommend.    She definitely understands athletes, healthy lifestyle, etc.

The office is located in downtown Littleton.  It's pretty different that your typical drs office...just so you know.

Thanks! I'll have to check her out.

I'm just a little frustrated with my doctor at the moment. I'm having some symptoms that could be due to overtraining, and when I brought it up her response was, "No, I like to encourage exercise."

As if I needed encouraging. Sheesh.

I actually used to work with Dr. Kenney, she's great.  She has done triathlons...she gets it.

I use Christopher Carlson out in the Highlands, which may be a little far for you. He is board certified in Sports Medicine, but also does general practice stuff. I really really like him. He is a bit more in the football, teams scene and not as much endurance, but I have been very happy with him. He gets athletes.

LOL, Chris Carlson is awesome too.  Believe it or not I used to work with him as well when he was a fellow doing sports med.  He is also excellent - we wanted to hire him but couldn't.
