My wife and I will be going the 7th Annual Southwest Valley Regional YMCA Thanksgiving Day Reverse Sprint Triathlon.  This will be my 3rd time doing this race and her first.  It is my favorite race ofthe year because you run, bike, and then swim (which is my best part of tri's so I do very well).

Afterwards we have a 20 pound turkey,10 pound ham, stuffing, meatballs, cranberris sauce (from the can!!!!! so happy!!!), etc.  to enjoy with family as our post race meal.

4 mile Race for the Pies. The first 900 finishers get a apple pie. I do this race every year and bring the pie with me to my moms house for desert. I tell her I will definitely bring the pie each year and each year she always buys a pie "for backup"
 Gotta love that parental support.Laughing

"Turkey Trots?   You probably should have cooked it another hour!"

I've always thought exactly the same thing any time anyone mentions Turkey Trot!  Smile

I also like "Hobble then Gobble"......

I'll be joining 10,000 of my closest friends for the Atlanta Thanksgiving Half Marathon. Nothing like running a Half to make you really appreciate that thanksgiving feast without guilt. Here's hoping I'll be face-down in a platter of turkey by Noon.

Run for the Diamonds (9 miler) in Berwick, PA for me.  It's a fun race (despite the huge hill from about mile 2-3).  Some people will dress up (turkeys, pilgrims, etc.).  The townspeople all stand out in their yards like they are watching a parade.  Be interesting to see if they are all still out there in the rain!

my daughter's doing that one too (it's her mom's weekend - hence me running a different race).  look for the 8 year old crossing at about 24 mins.  last week she ran the tick race (3.75 mi) and finished 12th overall out of 45.  it was funny hearing all of the adults talking about how she blew past them.  and for this one she is excited about winning a pie Tongue out

Thundercloud Turkey Trot in Austin (5 miler).  I just want to beat my husband, I don't think it will happen.  Is slide tackling legal?

5k st. pete times turkey trot in clearwater.

Me too, followed by the 10k. If I finish the first 5k fast enough, I may try to make it back around to the start of the 5k fun run and do all 3 races (the elusive turducken).

My family -- 4 generations! -- is going to do a 'family 5k' tomorrow before our Thanksgiving meal.  We were going to run a Turkey Trot together, but at $30 a pop, we weren't up for the $420 total entry fee.  Instead, we've laid out our own 5k in a local park.
