Who has an IM tattoo?

Completed my first IM last summer and was sorely tempted to have one. Still tempted slightly...

Took me 3 IM's but I finally did it. Had it re-done because the first one looked like s**t.

Like the idea of the torn look showing the muscles underneath.  Not so sure that the choice of shape was optimal...  Tongue out

I've never done a full (yet) but I do have a tat that has all 3d's in it and a 70.3. I have a spot opposite of the 70.3 for a 140.6 when the time comes.
I wanted it as a reminder of what I can do when I put my mind and body to it. The sad thing is that since I was hurt most of the year and did not train I gained a ton of weight. Just the other day I was looking at it and thinking that it has become a reminder of what I was and am not anymore. Kind of sparked me back up. I still am not training but I am dropping weight again.

Sprint done in 2010, Olympics in 2011, HIM on 2012, IM on 2013.  I've done a marathon and half marathon and have undergone recovery and event pain, and I thrive on it.  I went on when there was nothing to go on with.

I am brave enough to throw myself to an IM.

But I am in no way brave enough or courageous enough to stand the pain of a tattoo.

The last six miles of my first IM were more painful than the tat I got, they also took much longer to finish.
