Registered today, who else is in? This is a fun ride and for a good cause. Plus, you get a free beer at the end!

Is this a paved, gravel, or dirt trail ride? Trying to figure out if it's mountain bike or a commuter type route.

They have two routes now, I can only talk about the original, now shorter, route. It's a mix of all of the above. I've ridden it on a hybrid commuter with cross tires and had no trouble at all. I've seen mountain bikes, commuters, cross bikes, pretty much the gamut.

I'll probably do it again.  I did it two years ago, with Rugby Russ, on my heavy old mountain bike that has no shocks....and last year I borrowed a fancy bike and had a much better ride, although it was a blast both times.

Here's last year with my teammates:

Here's me, Russ and my friend LaVonne enjoying the post-ride beers in 2009.  It's blurry since the lens was fogged up.  It was a very cold day!

Probably do it again? C'mon, you know you want to if only to see if I show up on the right day this year! :-)

OK, I am officially registered now.  I borrowed a mtb with front shocks.  Mostly because my right arm is not healed from a fall I took in October and I don't want to exacerbate it.  Not sure which route but I am probably thinking the shorter one, especially if there is snow!  The beer at the end is fun!

So...what time and where are we meeting for this escapade??  I say we get there early.....I'll let you know what time the bulk of my friends are showing up, as the more the merrier!

I haven't decided which route either. I know the 15 mile route is fun so maybe that one.

It starts at 9, right? I plan on getting there around 8:30 at the latest if it's a 9 start.
