Subject: World Cycling Championship in Richmond 2015?

Saw today that Richmond threw it's hat in the ring to host the World championships in 2015. 

LOL at first I thought it was US but the Worlds would be incredible.

Not sure what chance they have but that would be pretty awesome if they were to actually win it.

It would be awesome if they get the race, Richmond is a great sports town.  It would be even better if the course used some of the cobbled streets. E-P-I-C

I loved the comment on a local business newspaper website about this, that it would be a great way to get the city to finally fix all the potholes. 

 

This would be an awesome event.  The city already hosts the XTerra events, would be great to get this race back to town.  I may have to reach out to Mr. Mayor and see what I can do to help...
