Awwwwww, yeeeeeah!!!

Had to put out some pics of my new toy.  Cervelo One (02? 03?) frameset, built from the ground up.  This was a frame ordered by some girl who wanted to design her own graphics for the tubes, then backed out and bought a QR.  Pretty stealthy with all black, don't you think?  Had to get some color in there, so I went with the cool red/black tape on the bars.  I'll probably get some logos put on eventually, but for now, she is my Black Beauty!

Gotta give props to Darrin at Capitol Cyclery in Baton Rouge for giving me such a great deal on the Shimano Ultegra components. He was super-helpful and stayed late to make sure I was pre-fit so that I could enjoy the bike before my formal fitting next Saturday.  Definitiely worth the drive to BR.

Can't wait til hubby gets his Cervelo P2K in!

Isn't a new bike the best! Wait until you take it out for your first spin!

Gonna take it for a spin tomorrow. A little nervous. I rode it in front of my house when we got it home. I didn't realize how squirrely the steering is. Hope I don't bust it! Also, it was a little disconcerting to look in the mirror alongside me in the lbs and see my big a$$ so far up in the air...yikes!  more incentive to lay off the Blue Bell!

Tribikes take time to get used to.  The handling and response is a lot different then a road bike.  Take it out on a nice quiet street and work on sitting on the bars, and cornering.  The more you ride it, the more you'll get used to how it handles.

Enjoy the ride.  You'll love it.  The stealth look is cool.

Nice Ride!! Keep us posted on how it performs.  I'm going to be in the market for a new bike soon and I've decided to let my fellow tri'ers on this site be my guinea pigs!!

Just got back from my first ride on my Baby...

And, in the immortal words of The Continental....

WOW!!! WOWEE WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!

Holy crap, what a difference!!!  I felt like I was flying for a while.  Definitely have a lot of work to do to get faster, but it's going to be a lot of fun trying!  Even better, I was afraid of a ton of fatigue for my (short) brick, but the legs felt fine.  And this is going to sound very vain, but I loved the little wave I got from the other riders out there.  They were checking the bike out!  Now I just have to get my butt in shape so they notice me instead of the bike!

Yeah since Wednesday I have noticed that a lot. Other riders, roadies, smile and wave now and they didn't really do that before. I am not having selective memory either. They really do notice the bike.
