You can, the watch just detects that you are wearing a heart rate monitor, it doesn't matter which watch you bought it with. I am using the heart rate strap I got with my 110 for my 305.



I really don't think this is accurate, I know my 305 does not recognize the chest strap from my 301. I may be wrong but I think the 305 (and your 110) uses ANT+ technology to communicate with the chest strap, while the 301 doesn't.


Thanks for clearing that up, the 110 strap does have ANT+,so the strap that came with the 305 is identical to the one that came with the 110, and the 305 recognizes it and reads accurately. Sorry prieto539, I didn't realized the 301 doesn't use ANT+
