Pre-race routine:

Umm....yeah.
Had to pee. Alot.
Found the bike rack, our had this green carebear attached to it- that made it easier!
Event warmup:

Nope. Too nervous to think clearly!

Swim
  • 21m 20s
  • 750 meters
  • 02m 50s / 100 meters
Comments:

Totally freaked out and had to breast-stroke a lot. Accidently wacked a few people in the head too. Took more time than I thought, but I made it! It made me feel better to know there were other people right next to me in the water.
What would you do differently?:

More training in OW! Two piece tri suit. better goggles, train for longer distances.
Transition 1
  • 06m 11s
Comments:

disoriented, really hard to go faster than a walk after getting out of the water! thank god for the guys there to pull me out!
Bike
  • 49m 23s
  • 12.43 miles
  • 15.10 mile/hr
Comments:

Awsome, my favorite part. I like roadbikes! That hill was a bitch though.
What would you do differently?:

learn how to get on bike without stopping. Learn how to drink and eat goo while riding. more hill practice, and arm strength stuff.
Transition 2
  • 05m 44s
Run
  • 38m 41s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 12m 26s  min/mile
Comments:

IT HURT! had to walk/jog the first mile until my muscles loosened up enough. Seeing friends and boyfriend really helped and I managed to speed up at the end, feeling ok. Really glad I didn't feel nauseous or have to puke!
What would you do differently?:

RUN MORE. ALOT MORE!
Post race
Warm down:

walked back to car, sucked down a lot of fluid. Big Burger!SLEEPING......

Event comments:

Doin it again next year!

Nice work, Squishy!!!!  That's a great pic too

I'll have to echo what Joe said.  Come on out and do some group swims/rides/runs.  I haven't met a single person from BT yet that hasn't been great to train with.

Great job out there yesterday!!!  Considering you freaked out a bit on the swim, that's a great time!  You'll really kick butt in the water at the next race

Glad you had fun!!

I was bummed that I didn't get to meet you and line, but I was stuck in the water for over 2 hours!!
