Hi all! A fellow newbie here from Frederick, MD training for my first Tri, the Hagerstown Sprint. This is an awesome site, and I look forward to sharing info and hopefully making some new friends!

hi matt, welcome to BT and triathlon! looks like a groovy MTB or cx race in your avatar?

have you checked out or posted in the maryland/va/dc forums yet? so many great BT peeps there.

I'm also recommending the mentor groups to all the newbies ... they really are awesome support/motivation/advice ... check out the open ones and see if there's one that seems right to you!

Welcome!  Always good to see more MD peeps checking in.  Be careful with Yanti (Triaya)... you'll be her "cranky monkey" (she's a sucker for animals and attitude) before you know what happened.  Fortunately she's contained by a few oceans from being anything more than an on-line stalker.

Come on over to the MD forum and say hi.  We're a good group and always looking for new people who have the sickness.
