Transition 1
Comments: Felt good about that transition considering it was my first with a wetsuit. What would you do differently?: Not much. Bike
Comments: I tried to drink as much as I could but it seems that it was not enough. For the course I seemed to do really well against the wind, keeping my speed up but then was significantly slower on the way home with a lot of people speeding on with the wind. Maybe I was too conservative. What would you do differently?: Train on falt courses more. I tend to do a lot hills which is fine for speed bursts but not high constant average speed. Transition 2
Comments: I had such cramps that I could not put my left runnign shoe on. I had to take a few seconds, do the right, have a drink and then put the left on. Probably lost 20s that way. What would you do differently?: Not sure how to go around that problem. Run
Comments: That was hard. It took me a good 10mns to get into a rythm and even then I was racing with people in front. What would you do differently?: Need to get stuck on my rythm not someone else's. Post race
Warm down: 5mns walk What limited your ability to perform faster: Algue in the water. Wind on the bike. Transition BRIK took a while to go away. Event comments: Well organised I have to say. PaceSetterEvents do organise good races. Might have been better to clear the lake prior to the swim but we can't ask for too much. Last updated: 2005-02-22 12:00 AM

Nothing unusual
I went for a 5Km bike-ride to warm up.
We then had to swim 5mns to the starting line so a bit of a warm up there (200m~). Drunk 500ml 20mns before start and ate a banana 10mns before the start
