Subject: .5 mary and OLY/HIM training plan Questions
Until Jan 30 (Houston Mary) I am concentrating on running 5-6 days/wk and pulling back on my swimming/cycling to 1 day each maybe 2. After the half Mary I am planing on a 1500m/100k,10k tri and plan to do the following

day 1 swim
day 2 swim/run
day 3 bike
day 4 bike/run
day 5 run
day 6 swim/bike

any comments/suggestions. Do you think that will put me too behind on the swimming and cycling?

So essentially you'll have 4-5 weeks to train for the tri after the half marathon when recovery and taper are factored in. Doesn't seem like much time unless you have a solid base of several years of decent bike mileage.

yea but I'm stupid like that. My first full marathon I only trained 3x/wk all I wanted to do was finished under 6 hours lets just say I met my goal.

I do want to be sub 5hr and am targeting 4:30-4:45. It is my first long tri and mainly want to finish with a respectable time. I know I have no chance in being in the top 100 little less the top 10

After your .5 Mary why not pick a plan and calculate backwards from race day and do how many ever weeks you have from .5 mary to tri. You could look at the workouts that you would be doing if you were following the plan from now and choose a swim and bike from the plan in additions to your runs for your race the end of the month.
