Anyone thinking of doing this one on Centennial Campus of NCSU?
I got hit by a pickup training for my first last year. So hoping this will be my first. Training is going good so far. Considering how cold it has been. Good luck too all going for this one.

It looks like an interesting course and I have friends in Raleigh, but I need to see how I do in my first tri here in Wilmington on Mar 12.
Good luck with your training and hopefully warmer weather is coming!

This was my season opener last year and may be again this year.  My only complaint is the bike course was pretty rough, so make sure you're comfortable riding over gravel and choppy pavement.  Swim start is staggered rather than wave, so although it could take a while for you to start, no worries about getting kicked.  The run was also pretty decent, and it was well-organized.

Just wanted to let everyone know - they paved almost all of Avent Ferry so bike course is very smooth now!

Stapp, I got hit by a pickup at the end of August, spent 8 days in ICU.  I am happy to say that I am back up and running.  Would love to hook up with you and compare notes.  This will be my forth full season of Tris and I have done fairly well.  Would be glad to help you out with your training in any way possible.  I need new training partners, I commited to never riding alone again for my wife.

Oh wow... I didn't realize this is the one right at NCSU.  That's where my son is and he doesn't get to see me race very often.  Of course as late as he stays up and sleeps in, he'd miss my race anyhow.
