Looking like 1 year for Contador (and no 2010 TDF title)

  Unless Contador can prove his innocence I think he should be banned. Besides, other riders have been banned for less, look at Rasmussen who never failed a test and was banned simply for failing to give his whereabouts. In my opinion this whole thing has hurt the sport already, and If he gets his lawyers to get him off on a technicality it will be worse for cycling. They need to wrap this up quick, it has been dragging on to long already.

 I just read that a soccer player failed a similar clenbuterol test but was exonerated when he provided hair samples that proved his innocence. This was because clenbuterol stays in hair longer especially dark hair, which I thought was interesting. It seems to me this would be a perfect opportunity for Contador to prove his innocence. We shall see if he does, I doubt it.

hes guilty, and its about time he gets his suspension. With him and valverde getting caught, maybe now spanish cycling will clean up.

He is still a young guy and can come back to his career...

Im not a massive contador fan but this one all seens really odd!

I really hope they dont back date it, I Hope he gets a year, or at least enough to miss all 3 GTS

I still thought the plasticizers were the big deal here, or did those drop offf the map?

IIRC the test for plasticizers was only in the trial phase and while they were apparently there, he couldn't be sanctioned for them.

  I agree, and would just add that the big issue is the banned substance Clenbuterol that was detected albeit in very small amounts. The presents of plasticizers strengthens the case that this was blood manipulation and shoots down the contador "tainted meat" excuse IMO.

next to come, uci and wada appeal and get him banned for the 2 years he deserves.


Then!! andy will be retro tested with the plasticizer thing and him and contador will be stripped of the 09 titles...............which means lance gets his 8th win...........how fitting
