Has anyone used this plan? It looks pretty good with the exception of the weight training. I'm really interested if anyone has used this plan but cut out the weight training?

I used it and I liked it a lot.  I never touched a weight and I felt very ready for the race.
My first HIM I used the begginer plan and finished in 5:49 (2nd race ever) my second HIM, same race, I finished in 5:05 (5the race ever.  I plan on using it again this year for the same race and going under 5:00.

Thank you so much for the reply. Did you supplement the weight training with something else or just ignore it completely?

I ignored it.
I may have added a run hear and there, but overall I followed the plan pretty close.
Good Luck

I am planning to use this HIM plan as well and it looks pretty good after reviewing all the detailed workouts throughout the 16 weeks.  I am not going to do the strength portion either but will probably sprinkle in some core training.
