Bill Runs Out of Time in Judiciary Committee

February 24, 2011-- The House Judiciary Committee heard testimony on House Bill 1092 in early February but deadlocked on the next step. The Committee's vote to pass the bill tied 5 to 5 with one member excused. A motion to end the bill also failed on a tie vote. As the bill did not return to the floor of the House before the legislative deadline of today, it looses its ability to pass.
