What? There's no prize for registering first? Cool Who else is ready to jump in with me? Great discount for IOSDT members.

I also registered for Buckhorn and will probably add Gary Kirby and/or Mayo Lake if we get a good group going. Washington Oly would be a great deal, but I'm leaning towards WL Oly because it fits my Half training schedule better. Plus, when I 1st race at Washington, I want it to be for the Half. Just like when I 1st race B2B, I want it to be for the Full. Oops, did I just say that out loud?

Congrats on being first!  I am doing the Washington Sprint, and also am an IOSDT member.  Was a member 2 years ago, but not last year, but renewed again for 2011.

Washington Half will be my first 70.3!!  I am signing up first of next month.  The Washington Sprint, last July was my first TRI and I had a blast.  Love the FS Series folks.

I would but I am scared to do a half iron in 90+ degree heat.

What makes you think it will be in 90+ degree heat?

The race is on Oct 29th, so I would be more concerned with having to swim and then get on a bike in sub 50deg temps.

I did it last year and the air temps were great. I think the bike started out a little chilly and I wore a light windbreaker on the bike. Run was perfect conditions. The hardest part of the day was the swim. It was bone chilling cold even with a wetsuit. I was wishing for my neoprene cap, which I did not bring. I swam very hard just to stay warm! I think it was low 60's. Great fun race, I highly recommend it! I have this awesome hoodie that was given to everyone as race schwagg.

I don't like the sound of that. I'm not sure my cheap sleeveless wetsuit will be up to the job. ...Not to mention wimpy me. Hopefully it will be a little warmer water this year.

Edit: All the positive in that post and I focus on the one negative. I really need to work on my attitude.

My fault. I was thinking it was around july 20th. I might do the B2B instead of this one.

Same weekend.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I have done B2B 1.5x and it is great. As Keyone said, as have quite a few others, Washington was a great race as well.

I did the Olympic in Washington in July and it was a goodie, so I am sure FSS will put on a great HIM.

My wife and I volunteered at the Half last year and other then being a little chilly, it looked like everyone had a great time.
