I'm doing IMLP 2011, and have been very sick the past 2 months (cold/flu-related) and could barely go for a 30 min walk in the cold without getting worse. I'm back to training, but know I have to build up slow in order to not get injured.

Is it a feasible thing to plan on doing the race? I know I have less than 6 months to train, and I've done IMs with less prep before. I'm just really concerned about a near complete non-existence of exercise, and getting injured in the process by increasing hours too much too fast.

Any advice? Has anyone trained for IMs in 6-10 hours a week? I know its been done, and some people have actually done really well in that little training time. Any support? Criticisms?

You do what you can.  As you said, build back slowly.  Don't worry about preconceived notions about what you "need" to be doing based on what you did in the past (or what others say you need to be doing).  You'll have a better idea how well prepared you will be for the race in a few months.
