Subject: Vision Aerobar/Elbow Pad Narrow Width Adjustment Question
I'm trying to narrow the elbow pad position on my P2 (Vision Aerobars) and it seems like the screws I am using for the middle position are too long for the most narrow position.  Its possible my bike came w/ extra, shorter screws for this, but I can't find them (and am not positive I need shorter screws).

I see a a kit (see pic below) that has what looks like 2 sets of screws (shorter and longer) but the description only says 'Includes chromoly screw set'.  Also, I don;t know if I am using the shorter of the two sets in the current position (I only have one set so I can't compare).

I am currently using the 12.5mm spacer and don't want to increase to 25mm.  I'm sure someone here has done this before.  Any suggestions?  I hate to spend $19 + shipping for 2 screws, especially when I don't know if it will solve my problem.

Thanks for your help.

They did come in the package. I had the same exact situation happen several years ago. I resorted to carefully hack-sawing the long ones down to size.

Dont mean to spam an eBay add. I posted an auction with a boatload of screws and spacers for FSA aerobars. I just had tons of hardware that I wasn't using. I no longer use FSA bars, so just threw them on eBay with no reserve. Had I seen this post first, woulda just have ya what ya needed. Search "fsa aerobar" ya should find the auction. May only cost ya $.99.

lol, I thought about hacking them too.

Thanks for your help!  Just to clarify, you're saying the shorter screws come in the set with risers, etc?  I'll buy the 'package' as long as it fixes the issue and there is no way to get just the screws by themselves.

Thanks again.

Oh sorry, I'm not sure if they come in the kit. Both the short and long bolts came with several size spacers when I originally purchased the aerobars.

Good luck!

Any decent LBS would have them on hand and likely give them to you.  I work out of two different shops both of which probably have 50 sets of the screws you need.  Don't spend $19 for two screws.

I have sheared 2 of these screws off my Vision bars. I was told not to use the OEM screws but to have the LBS install Stainless steel. The elbow pads soak up a lot of sweat/salt. I don't know if this is accurate info so take it at face value.

Just got back from my LBS and they didn't have any flat head/angled screws.  Since these screws are going to be under the pad, I took what they had (rounded head), but they were too short.

Problem with living in Western NC is there are very few bike shops that that carry tri equipment/accessories of any kind.  Lots of road cyclists, but not many riding tri bikes around here (I rarely ride my road bike, even with all the hills/mountains).

Thanks for everyone's help, I appreciate it.
