It was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Don't laugh, but here's my garmin file: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/69021840

I did have to stop a couple times because of mechanical issues, which still aren't fixed, but it was a good ride.

I have the profile design behind the seat bottle cages which for some reason kept coming lose ejecting my bottles. After fixing it for the second time, I just put the bottles in my jersey, but it was a pain worrying about it, and whether or not I was going to lose the whole setup.

I'd say a good 20-25 folks showed up and made it quite fun.

And hopefully I won't get sick at 4am and miss the darn thing.  And hopefully they repeat it this weekend.  The comment you made about the guys racing Sicard Hollow is bothering the crap out of me (as I sit home sick).  For some reason I am really missing the whole"burying myself to stay with the pack."  I need to get out there.

No laughing - for the first ride of the season that is more than fast enough to get the heart going!

So, what is the deal with you and mechanicals?  Hopefully just that bottle holder.  I hate those bottle ejectors, but that is another discussion for another time.

I'm hoping the bike isn't cursed. It was just the holder though. I may be replacing it with a torpedo on the aerobars and one on the front tube of the bike.

Other than that, the bike rode like a dream and I felt good. I definitely wasn't trashed afterwards!

No need to freak out about a bottle holder!   Sounds like the rest of the bike held together fine.

That was a great ride.  Any word on if there's a ride this coming Saturday?

I thought it was a good sized group and a good pace, especially for the first group ride of the year.  I think everyone was just glad to see some decent weather.  The paceline down Sicard Hollow was fun.

There was a large group that turned around at the Chevron and cut the ride a little shorter if anyone is concerned about the route distance and/or pace.

Yep there will be (at least Al indicated that there would be rides going from here on).  I would plan on being at the Brownell Travel building for a 7:30 start if you want to go.  Wild dogs will have to drag me away from this one.

Twas a great ride.  A bit chilly at start, but it warmed up quickly.  A good 15-20 folks.  As usual I ended up sucking wind behind the strongest guy in the group.  I swear he doesn't even feel the hills.

It will be nice to start doing these every week.  All BTers invited!
