Subject: Swimming and feeling sick?
I often feel a little sick - like a cold might be coming on - a few hours after swimming. Sometimes also nauseous. Anyone eles experience this? Is this normal? Can a person have a reaction to the chemicals in a pool that would cause nausea?

Yep - in fact the morning after a pool workout tends to be a 3 box of Kleenex day...

I know this sounds stupid, but try a claritin before you swim.

I'd like to try that but isn't that a prescription?

No you can get it over the counter now at the drugstore. It's like $10/box.

Buy the generic version, no need to buy the actual brand name.

Same here. Major nasal congestion the next day. I don't seem to get it in OW. Claritin really works.
