Run
Comments: Good run.Knew the course like the back of my hand. I seeded myself to far back so had to work my way thru folks as I went. Very very crowded race. Like running thru rush hour in the city. First mile was 10 m/m, 2nd was 9:30 then got better. Very, very humid too. just drenching!! Luckily it has been this way for a while so I am getting used to it. 10k time was 53 min. so the final mile was about 7 m/m. What would you do differently?: seed further to the mid pack. Post race
Warm down: Grab some grub and rest and stretch. What limited your ability to perform faster: heat, humidity, lots of people Event comments: very well organized premier internationally known race. Many elite runners, lots of Kenyans, and they are FAST!! Organization is great, entertainment through the pre-race was great. Highly recommend the race, but if you do it, do it for the experience and not to do a PR. Last updated: 2005-08-14 12:00 AM
