Trek Speed Concept 2.5 aluminum looks bad

I went to my LBS to go check out  the new Trek Speed Concepts. The carbon bikes look awesome and the aluminum 2.5 was there and you could see huge welding beads where they joined certain parts BUT WOW for $1800 I though it would be less visible. I have a 2009 Giant Trinity and you can barley see the welding bead. The Carbon frames AWESOME but Aluminum they dropped the ball big time compared to what else is out there in the same price range.
