I figured I'd stop just lurking and actually introduce myself. I have done a few sprints the past couple summers and decided I'd start to get serious about triathlons after hanging up the rugby boots. I'm a 6'5" 230 lb guy in Chicagoland, and I feel fairly comfortable with everything, albeit a little slow for my competitive nature in the water. I've geared up pretty well- wetsuit in the closet and a specialized transition waiting for the weather to break to get outside. I've got a sprint and two olympic races on the agenda for the spring and summer, and hopefully adding a HIM toward the end of the year. Thats pretty much all I have, and I'm sure I'll have questions along the way.
Welcome to non-lurkerhood and congrats on your tris!
As you know--questions get answered pretty quickly with lots of options in the forums, so no matter what, ask away. And also, from lurkage and some experience under your belt, looks like you could be answering some too
Good luck with your training and races this season!
Wow, a semi newbie and wantig to do an Olympic Distance. I am inspired! I have 3 sprints lined up for this sumer, maybe I'll join your gaol, next summer. Good luck!
