So, I started my new bike buying test rides today. QR Seduza was todays menu. Really liked it, it climbed really well. Not to keen on the saddle though, plus the cockpit was a little basic, other than that, it felt really good. Todays test ride course, which be the same test ride for all the bikes, is a 41 mile loop with plenty of hills (though pretty windy today).

Next up, Felt B16, then Cannondale Slice 5.

No Cervelo  P2, can't spend over $2400.

Any suggestions, or feedback would be appreciated.

I just bought the Felt B16 today... love it!  Brought it home for a test ride last weekend, and while super busy with work, managed to get in a couple of rides.  Changed out the saddle for the Cobb V-Flow, will give it a whirl tomorrow.  I haven't tried the other bikes... the Felt just fit like a glove, and I love the color scheme...  ironically I went to the LBS looking to purchase a QR also, but they didn't have my size so I tried the Felt.  The "other" tri store in town had the Cannondale, but it had 105 components, and was going to go for $2400 with Ultegra...

My advice would be to get fitted and pick the bike that has the geometry that works best for you.  The two bikes you mention test riding next have different geometries and there is a chance one might work better.

So after trying a QR, 2 felts (B14 and B16), Cervelo P2, and a Cannondale Slice.  I am now the proud owner of a Cannondale Slice. The bike's geometry fit great. I knew within 3 minutes this was the bike. It was sold as a Slice 5, but upgraded to Ultega, Easton Circuit Wheels and profile Cobra base bar with the T2 aero bars.  So I suppose my Slice is a Slice 3.5 now.

Thanks to Austin TriCyclist for such an awesome bike!

I have been considering the Cannondale Slice 5 (from AustinTriCycle as well) along with Specialized Transistion (BSS), or Scott Plasma 30 (but can't find anyone yet in Austin that sells Scott Plasma). You sound like you have similar geo as I do - long legs, short torso so need "short and narrow".

Nice that on Cannondale Slice seems reasonable enough that you can switch out some of the components so that price still ends up under $2400.

Looking forward to taking it out for a spin!
