Subject: Accenture- Chicago Wave times ??
Does anybody know what the wave times were for last year? I'm trying to get a general(very general) idea of what they might be for this year. Thkx !!!

they start the the sprint folks first so if you're olympic plan to wait about 1.5-2 hours after transition closes for the start of your wave.....this is one of the main reasons I don't do this race as an olympic anymore.  you almost need another breakfast by the time your wave comes around.

They change up start times every year so last year is not an indication of what this year will look like. That said, if you are doing the Oly, plan on waiting anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours.

they NEVER change the fact that sprint race waves go before Oly race waves....that's why this race sucks so bad!

besides the fact that there are TOO many people on LSD and it's VERY dangerous with folks riding side by side all the time at this race like its some kind of charity bike ride or something.

i've done this race too many times and have been constantly frustrated at the way people just plain disregard the fact that no-drafting applies to this race.

quite frankly, this race has too many beginners packed into a group of 5,000 athletes that it has become a dangerous race for most.
