Last week killed me!  Too much work (and eating out at company dinners) and not enough working out.  I was really hoping to get down 10-15 pounds this month but instead I am well on my way to another epic fail.

I started running last night (more like Wogging) and that usually help me lose much quicker than biking.  I generall bike about 100 miles a week and even eating right get very little results

GREAT JOB eveyone.....

I am very pleased with this month after doing a bit of a reset and trying a few new things.. And increasing some workout volume on the bike outside I am sure helped.

March 30 215 lbs

April 6th 215 lbs

April 13th 213 lbs

April 20th 210.5 lbs    Just missed my 210 Goal I wanted to hit. But there is still time left this month.. so I am very pleased. This is a new ALL TIME LOW for me at this point.

Still coming off :-) AND I completed my first olympic distance tri over the weekend in dismal rainy, windy, yucky conditions. Even though I had a bit of drama during my race, I finished and was happy with how I did. Happy dance, happy dance!!

Down 2lbs to 257lbs this week. I was down to 256lbs on Monday but swung back up and then down again...

With an extra long Easter break coming, allowing some long training days, I am looking forward to reporting next week.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You're down 6 lps for the month and that's pretty good. Keep at it and you'll get there.

Can I join in?

I'm trying to lose pregnancy weight (again). My littlest guy is 4 months old today and I'm finally realizing that movement alone isn't going to solve my problem. I'm going to have to watch what I eat, too. I had a lot of success keeping track on here with everyone after my last baby was born, so here I go again.

I'm at 192.5 and I guess I'll go ahead and set a goal for the end of May. I want to be at 185 by the end of May. I'm signing up for a 5K at the end of May with my husband. I've been doing couch to 5K and am up to 27 minutes of running, so it's starting to feel good to run again.

April 27: 192.5
Goal for May 31: 185

Based on my Birthday party, lots o Beer, Lots o Food and well just general all around bad eating for 4 days straight. It is no wonder. I swore I would eat better on monday. But I went shopping in the states with 3 women, first mistake. Second mistake eating lunch at Chilli's Giant Black Bean buger. I stopped eating it I was full and the smallest girl at the table ate hers and challanged me to finish mine.. Another mistake..LOL   

I swam my butt off last night and hammered out 3000 meters hoping to put a dent in it... Alas so close to my goal of 210 lbs and I knocked myself back. But I know the root cause and I am back on track now. I swear.

Couple of things could be happneing 1. Make sure you fueling yourself enough for your workouts and your day in general. In my weight loss process I seen the same thing as you many times. The body is an amazing thing it ADAPTS very well to changes your making. What works for 2-4 weeks might not work at the end of 4 weeks. My number one issue for me along the way I would watch my calories too close and not eat enough. Every time I did that I gained as well.

1. Make sure you fuel yourself. 2. if your work outs are 90-120 mins long then make sure your not taking in too many carbs. you still need them but I try to balance my diet so only about 25-32% of my fuel comes from carbs except on my long bike ride days. I am very protein based and have had good success with that. Not to say it will work for you. But just keep good tabs on things and when something no long works change it. Try not to change too much at once or you won't know what really did it for you.

Not a good weigh in this morning though I can't say I'm really surprised. I feel like a balloon ready to burst. I can't say my diet has been anything out of the ordinary. Just stepped on the scale one morning and I was up three pounds.

I haven't done so well for the past week and a half since I completed my first triathlon (Olympic distance). All that motivation vanished after I crossed the finish line. I have also been eating really poorly on the weekends. I need to sign up for another tri so my motivation comes back. On a good note, I worked out 4 hours in the past 2 days, so I am getting back on track.

Are you getting enough sleep? If you aren't getting 8 hours of sleep a night, try increasing the amount of sleep you get. That will always help you.

Wow, it seems like a lot of people have hit a road block lately and either gained weight or stopped losing weight. Lets all be motivate to come back next week with some progress.

Hey, Team Skinny! Some of us are having a great April... nice job guys!!

I neglected to mention that I would be gone for a huge chunk of this month, and also neglected to weigh in before I left for vacation. Just got back from Puerto Vallarta... great trip!! Met up with some family, lots of relaxing beach time, and completed my Open Water Diver scuba certification. Woot!!

Anyway, back from my tangent into vacation memories... I weighed in and am at 208 (started at 212). Probably not going to make my goal for April, but I'm pretty pleased with any loss during travel!
