OK, so i just finished my first ride on my new Tri bike.  Went 20 miles and tried to stay on the aero bars as much as possible.  (probably 95% of the time)

my neck muscles are killing me.  I have always been a sloucher to the point that my head kind of slouches forward all the time.  it down right hurt after about 45 minutes to keep my head up.

are there any stretches or anything else to do or is it literally one of those things that builds over time and i just need more T.I.T.S.?

If your logs are up to date I would give it a couple of hundred miles. It should get much better with time in the saddle.

yep, my logs are up to date.  I just got the bike yesterday so all my saddle time to this point has been in spin class.

glad it will get better.

I agree with giving it a little more time.  When I got my tri bike my neck and back were sore also.  After a couple of rides nothing like that ever happened again.

My neck was sore after my first ride. I had this burning feeling down the side of my neck the next morning. I had been riding a roadie with aerobars for 2 years so I didn't think I would get sore in aero but I did. It didn't last long at all - maybe 2 rides. Biofreeze really helped ease the soreness the next day.
