Subject: RE: T1 - road bike shoes on pedals I used road shoes for years with no problem. But they do take more attention than tri shoes. A few tips for you... 1. Never leave the velco flapping around since the straps are on the inside and have the potential of getting caught in the drivetrain. Mate the velco, just make it as loose as possible. 2. Since you won't have a heel loop, I just loop the rubberband around the eyelet of the velco. 3. Always get your driveside foot taken care of first going out of T1. And always come out of your driveside shoe last when going into T2. This will minimize the amount of flapping velco on the driveside. Edited by mktoson 2011-05-27 10:12 AM
