the accelerator in my Ford Focus, since it's easier. Cool

Seriously though, I'm a pretty big clyde, 270 right now. I am not a bike guy, just went to my LBS and got a decent roadie, with the pedals they had available and shoes to match. I have Shimano pedals. I am sure there are lots of great opinions on one pedal vs another, but if you're asking about weight related issues, I think we're safe with just about anything out there.

When I asked the bike shop guy about supporting my weight, he sort of looked at me funny. I still think of myself as weighing 360 at times. 270 is still way too high, but under the limit for treadmills, etc.... If you're over 400, there may be other considerations.

I use the Shimano pedal also, they are my first clip in pedals. I like them, easy to clip in and out.

Agreed.  FWIW - I use Crank Brothers Eggbeaters on both my mountain and road bike.  I like the simplicity of them.

I run Shimano Dura Ace on my tri bike, CB Candy on my touring... I prefer larger platforms to avoid hot spots on outsides of feet.

I use the Crank Bros Candies also. Easy in/out and reasonably priced as well. Love em!

Look Keo on both tri and road bikes. 250 lbs. No problems.

Ditto on the chromoly -- should be fine. I haven't seen a pedal with a titanium spindle that a clyde can ride -- prohibitive weight restrictions.

Speedplay X2, I love the float and it's easy on the knees.

This is how I roll. Dura Ace in the road bike, Candy on the mtn bike.

Speedplay Zero's,  you can clip into them from either side.  For me this is the better of the two types I have used, Look Keo's and Speedplays.
