Subject: RE: Hybrid to Raod or Tri Bike? A word to the wise...when you are shopping for a tri bike and you do not know what your doing...ask the person who is fitting you to a particular size bike WHY they think that bike may be a good fit. A lot of shops put people on bikes that are too big for them because they think the customers primary goal is comfort etc. Vice versa, some shops put people on extremely aggressive smaller bikes. Both shops are doing a great job fitting the customer to a bike; however, make sure the fit YOU get is catered towards your needs / future goals. I was personally in between a 56 and 58 cm P2. The owner was adamant about me getting the 56 because it was more aggressive. At the time I wanted comfort so I was tilting toward the 58. I ended up taking his advice and getting the 56 and it was a GREAT decision. Now that I have road for a while I am very glad that I can get lower on the smaller bike and be more compact. Don't let people tell you there is a "perfect fit" because there isn't one. The "perfect fit" for you changes over time with your goals. Make sure the bike you get is "perfect" today...and that it will be "perfect" next season when your goals change. Edited by xine2kgts 2011-06-22 10:55 AM
