Subject: Gps watch
My wife has finally been bitten by the running bug and has been training for several weeks using my garmin. It's a little complicated for her and I have to set it up for her every time. Looking for an easy to use gps watch that also does run/walk timing. Heart rate not really an issue but maybe in the future. Thanks.

Have you looked into the 110?

That said, since you already have the other Garmin, I'm sure after a few weeks she'll get the hang of it.  Heck, I'm trying to switch from the 405 to the 610 now and I have to ride my bike trainer with the instructions in one hand because it's so tough to get it all set up and working just the way I like.  You might not remember when you were going through the learning curve, but I'm sure it'll be turnkey soon.

The biggest difference is size.  They both have a nearly identical feature set.  The 305 is larger, uglier, cheaper and can show up to 4 variables per screen.  the 405 is smaller, has a touch bezel which has questionable performance when wet, and can show up to 3 variables per screen.  Oh- the 405 is ANT+ capable- so it will communicate wirelessly to your computer to upload runs.
