Subject: Pacing during first Olympic tri Hi, Should my heart rate be my speed limit during my first tri? I know it is a race, and people should compete and push hard, but on the other hand I'm a beginner. A few years ago I could not even run a mile, now I can do 8 mile relatively easily ( I run in zone 3.) I started learning a free style 5 months ago now I swim 100 yards in 2 min and still improving.
