Subject: RE: Distance run on recovery week You might be confusing "recovering" with tapering. If you're racing on the 10th, your lower-volume (but possibly higher-intensity ... you're not following a training plan, are you) week before the race is called taper. A distance run at this point gives you no fitness whatsoever for the race and will probably just tire you out especially since you're not used to it. Nevertheless, looks like since you have the experience, you'll be fine to finish the tri even if it's on a different surface. Have a blast and good luck |
