Subject: Need a relay team name

Ok we are doing a family relay and need a team name. I swim, husband bikes and this time our 16 year old will be running.

Our last relay we let the 18 year old pick the name and we were the Sonic Death Monkies.

The race before that with 16 year old we went with The Incredibles but I just picked that by default, we got hardware but the boy and husband thought it was dorky.

Good luck picking a name that makes your husband and kids happy.

We just signed up for a relay with my 15 year old daughter running and as much as I prompted my kids to pick a relay name they wouldn't. So I ended up making up something.

How about something to do with your last name? initials? family joke?

I tend to like taunting trash talking names that require to you defend them with speed:

"Our family is faster than yours"
"Team Woops" - reference to second child...
"You better run fast or you're grounded"

You can't get a better name than last year's "Sonic Death Monkies" team moniker. Keep the name and start working on the logos—merchandising's where the royalties are.

Agreed. Sonic Death Monkies is the best name of all of them (and I'm not an 18 yo boy).

Make this the sequel: Sonic Death Monkies - Revenge of the Flying Baboons.

Those are some great suggestions! Thanks so much! Unfortunately while I was picking up said 16 year old from drivers ed the husband completed registration and we are Team Brendan. Not bad but not as good as your suggestions.

I think we will continue to use this name for our team when the 18 year old is racing. It was his idea so we really can't let the brother use it.
