OK, so who is doing this? I know a few folks already (Scottie, Jennifer, Alan) who are doing this. Anyone else? Where are y'all staying, assuming you are going up on Friday? I will be at the Hampton Inn (not sure if there is more than one).

I'm in.  Did this as my first Oly last year and loved it.

Also staying at the Hampton Inn...if they still have room.  Guess I need to book my reservation soon

No go at Hampton Inn for me.  They only have smoking rooms left, and that will cause me all types of issues  Frown

I am 85% sure I'm doing this.  I'm crashing at my buddy's in Greenville.  He did it last year and said it was great.

My training has been out of whack as of late and I'm looking forward to embarrassing myself in the swim and run!

You'll have a great time.  Say hello as you whizz past me on the bike

Took a close look at the bike course this morning and boy, there are a ton of turns. I was mapping it on mapmyride and eventually got too bored to finish! I hope that doesn't slow us down too much...

Looks like a scorcher on Saturday...drink lots :-) I always unintentionally drink lots on the swim but I wouldn't advise that!

The race starts at 7am. Will you be on beverage #1 or 2 at that point, or will you wait until we are all done? :-)

I am super excited about this race!  Not happy about the weather but hopefully we will be done before it gets too hot.

Alan, Scottie and I will be wearing our FSSeries tri tops so we should be easy to find

I will not be wearing a top so will look generic...

Nice tactic. Scare the living bejeebers out of your competition.

Unfortunately I won't be scaring anyone...it is more making them weak with laughter!

Just looked at the hourly forecast graph: dewpoints in the low 70s, heat index will be 79 at 7am, 90 at 8am, 95 by 9am and 98 by 10am! Yikes. But I guess nothing we haven't been having around here lately!

My 7:30am "keep the legs loose run" this morning was ridiculously hot already.  Tomorrow, knowing my swim skills, I'll hopefully be out of the water by 7:30.... hopefully.

I will regret having an all black kit... at least my visor is red.

Good luck to all!

What are people with aero helmets planning to do? I took a spin with mine on yesterday (granted, it was 1:30 so the heat of the day) and it was crazy. Within 5 miles my Halo headband was not holding the sweat and it was streaming down my face. Normally the Halo can last an hour or so in this heat with a regular helmet. Just curious what others are doing. I will prob wear my aero helmet anyway...

I'm wearing mine.  No question.

I have never had an issue with heat/sweat and my aero-helmet. However, tomorrow will be the ultimate test I'm sure.

Gosh, I hope I don't eat my words!

I haven't either but have only raced with it in cool conditions. It is not that long of a ride so it should be OK- even if hot, its just an hour to 90 mins anyway...
