new - again

Ok, it says ELITE veteran by my name, but I have taken a hiatus. Not really a hiatus but a drop off the world, get fat again (not so big but really mushy), forget what a swimming pool looks like, use my running shoes for gardening, let my bike (never a great one) sit in pieces in the shed outside of our doublewide….. I have let moving give me an excuse to let myself go in so many ways. I work too much, don’t take any time for myself. Hell, I have not even had my hair trimmed in 6 months – that is so unlike me. I AM hair-vain. But have become a ponytaled split ender….. how did I let it go so far…… look at my album – I was a gorgeous bride a year ago. Turning the big 4-0 did not help. Or, to be real, my attitude over turning 4-0 did not help.

Well, I hit the water today. Found my aqua sphere goggles on the way out the door to check out the lake and dove in. Start with what you are good at. Can’t say it was a great swim, and realized I was not at a good part of the lake to do the swimming (next to a boat ramp!), but I did it. So I will join the pool here and find out if they have a masters program. Find like minded people and get in a groove.   Watching people who have lost everything makes me feel like an arse for wallowing in the "I live in Winnemucca in a double wide and hate my job" pit.
