swam this morning.  Hoping to bike this afternoon, but it may be a run on the TM due to kids, storms and heat.  We'll see.  I really don't feel like dragging my bike to the basement to put on the trainer.

Entertained notions of a morning walk after YESTERDAY'S PR OLY... Laughing ...but decided to sleep in.  Planning 2000 yds in the pool (easy) after work.

...BTW, did I mention I had a PR Oly yesterday?

Congrats! Good job.

I did a very tentative 1.5 mile run this morning, testing my Achilles. It felt fine. I still have the doctor's appointment tomorrow, but I really think I've worked through this.

1100m swimming drills at noon.

Either a 5.5 mile run or a 6.5 mile run early this morning.  I do a mile lap in town & I forgot how many laps I did.  Either way I got 1 hr 13 min run this morning.

2600 yard speed workout in the pool at lunch

Then when I got home and saw how hot and humid it was, it seemed like a good idea to go for a 6 mile run.  Carried water, but needed more, was a little dizzy when I got home, chugged a ton of fluid, and then hit the bike for 24.5 miles.

In the end, a great workout, and I'm glad I made myself work through the heat as uncomfortable as it was.  I've also managed to take more showers and dirty more clothes today than I did in the past 3 days.

I've also managed to take more showers and dirty more clothes today than I did in the past 3 days.

I've decided that's one of the best signs of a great training day.

Added a 6 mile bike ride this evening. I was upset about some personal issues and my husband said "Go for a bike ride. I'll put the kid to sleep."

Gotta love that man.

5.2 mile run and 3,150M in the pool. Brick tomorrow, then starting a taper for this weekend's race.
