Pre-race routine:

Ate half a mojo bar, drank some water.
Event warmup:

Stretched at the car & jogged to the starting point.

Comments:

I felt pretty good. I started out slow & sure & just tried to stay constant. I got a bad stitch during the final K & was unable to pick the pace up at the finish. Overall pleased though with my performance. This is my PR for 5K.
What would you do differently?:

Even though it was very chilly at the beginning of the race, I would NOT wear a long sleeved t-shirt for the run. I was dying of heat stroke halfway through.

Warm down:

Walked around, drank water, ate an orange.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My lack of endurance, since I'm still fairly new to running.

Event comments:

Had invited a couple of friends to come, but didn't think they'd be there. Was very pleasantly surprised that they were there. After the race, we all went to Cracker Barrel, ate, and then I came home and napped for an hour.
