You're posting on an open forum that you're playing hooky from work?

I'm gonna try to put in a 45 or so minute trainer ride tonight.

Dumdum here has been driving all over the island, watching tides to swim at beaches, begging hotels to use their weird-length pools and getting jumped on by kids and hit by balls ...

I just found a 25m lap pool less than 5min from my house. And it's open 12 hours a day. Every day. And according to the staff, it's almost always empty. It is right now.

I have a taper of ride of 20 today.....hopefully I get out of work......

5 mile slow run this morning in the dark.   Temp was 52F when I left, real nice for run. 

 Darn dog scared the crap out of me this morning.  Didn't know he was coming until I heard his nails on the road.  Luckily he listened to me and his owner. 

total 1,250m swim this morning.

Two swimming breakthroughs this morning. I did my first 1,000m non-stop, and felt good afterward. So I decided to do a couple 100's and glad I did. I finally felt that "feeling" swimmers say you feel when you finally feel like you are gliding through, and not fighting the water. My last 150m felt like everything was right, going faster than ever (still slow, but noticeably faster for me, my last 100m was 20 seconds faster than my average) and with less effort, what a great feeling, FINALLY.

Thanks to all the BT contributors, this site has provided alot of great information in my quest to learn how to swim.

Morning!  My life has officially entered a time warp working on the salt flats.  9 hours out there in 111 degree heat, little shade.  But, the upside is the racers are super cool.  Still mananged to get in my workout!

6am:  30 minute run & then Insanity Pure Cardio followed by Cardio Abs.  Breakfast and back out on the flats from 11am-8/9pm tonight.

We also shut down for 15 minutes every day during the Tour de France to catch the stage finishes. I do not miss my 19 years in the corporate world one bit!

And I should add it was an absolutely beautiful morning for a long bike ride.

Did a couple of 1000 yd sets in the pool today.  It's been a while since I've just "swam" without drills, intervals etc.  Will run 5-6 miles tonight.
