Pre-race routine:

This race was for fun. I had the mentality that I was going to cruise it.
Event warmup:

Dived into the freezing salty blue for about 3 secs and decided that was a good enough warm-up.
Swim
  • 33m 34s
  • 1500 meters
  • 02m 14s / 100 meters
What would you do differently?:

Start out in front instead of behind everyone!
Transition 1
  • 04m 47s
Comments:

I took too long, but didn't want to rush it.
What would you do differently?:

Buy racing flats...they go on quicker.
Bike
  • 1h 28m 28s
  • 25 miles
  • 16.96 mile/hr
What would you do differently?:

Train....
Transition 2
  • 04m 11s
What would you do differently?:

My sit bones hurt so bad I had trouble standing up as soon as I got off the bike. I probably looked like I was trying to give birth standing up!
Run
  • 54m 9s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 43s  min/mile
Comments:

I felt really strong on the run, I kept thinking that I could have done the whole race faster.
What would you do differently?:

My heart rate was at/around 177 the whole time...I can't believe I can run and talk at that level.
I'm going to con't using my HR Monitor, it has been the best tool yet!
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not being out in front of the swim wave start.

Event comments:

I love TNT, but there were too many inexperienced purple heads out there.

Melissa,

I totally agree with you in regards to Team in Training.  But at least at PG they have there own waves.  Did you have problems with the guy standing in the middle of the dismount line?
