Subject: poor college kid
As i said im a poor college kid scraping to afford my races and other stuff. I'm saving money to get a decked out bike within the next few years. i figure that it would be more advantageous to get aero wheels before a new fancy tri bike, btw i have a 2008 jamis comet and its been a great bike since I've gotten it for my graduation. Reason I'm saying this is because since i already have an aero helmet they'll give me more of an immediate advantage in ironman lake placid next year than getting nothing. BT what are your thoughts?

Get a wheelbuilder cover for your rear wheel and a used Hed, Zipp or Sram and you've got a bike that will hold it's own with most of those expensive tri bikes you're racing against.  Another good option would be to rent from raceday wheels for your IM.
