Who's Doing Kona this year?

TJ Fry, Brent Schulte immediatley come to mind..TJ qualified at IMTX and Brent last year at IMFL.

I'm making my 3rd trip over there. Training is going ok, not great. This is my third IM in 11months and the aches and pains are coming on strong. Add that to the 2nd hottest summer in Houston's history and it starts getting tricky. Don't get me wrong though, I'm super excited for the race! Always a special day.

Me, me! Lottery winner. It wl be my first full. Training is going great, but how do I really know until actually do the race?

Jeebus with half times like that you must be close to qualifying, no?

I'm going.  Qualified at Ironman Wisconsin.  Will be my first (and likely only) time at Kona.  Super excited.  Training's going well, I just entered what will be the most intense 3 week training period for me, then in tapers off.

I have trained for the last four months like I have never trained before and I am finally seeing the results. I may actually get there some day.... but.... that last half you see doesn't include the swim as it was cancelled. I figure I probably would have been around 4:40 for the whole thing. Not quite a qualifying time yet but I will keep working toward it.

One and most important word of advice for you first timers. FINISH. That's all that matters.
