Subject: Rock N' Roll Las Vegas- Strip @ Night!
So Robyn and I are plotting to do the RnR Las Vegas race on Dec 4th.  Anyone else considering it?  I'm moving to Chicago but I think a weekend in Vegas sounds delightful.  We could probably reserve a block of rooms if we get enough interest.

I will be registering in the next week.  Race fee is $165 and will be going up to a whopping $175 on 9/4.  The race is super expensive, but hotels and flights out of Denver are SUPER cheap.

$165 for a marathon...that is just nuts!  My first marathon was LV back in 1987.  I can't remember exactly the cost but I think it was under 40 bucks.  Yea, I know I'm an old cheap fart.  Anyway, I won't be registerrinig for the race but maybe I can get away and support the marathoner's and have a fun weekend in Vegas.

I know I haven't met most people here. I have to be in Vegas on Dec. 5th and 6th for a conference. At least my airfare would be covered.

I'm also only going to commit to the half.  Trying to train for a marathon in Chicago in fall/winter would involve 20 miles on a treadmill.  I don't think so.  Plus, I'll finish earlier which means I can save beer for those of you going long!
