Pre-race routine:

7am: Drank two bottles of water, ate two bananas, cup of coffee and went to race area.

9am: set bike up in race area, set all equipment out. Drank an energy gel pack and stretched.

Comments:

Goggles got kicked off within 200 meters followed by leg cramps in left leg. Managed most of the race with a backstroke/breast stroke combo
What would you do differently?:

Not have cramps, different goggles. BECO panoramics do not fit well.

Leg cramps had an impact. We weren't allowed to run in the transition area.
What would you do differently?:

Have a different bike. I rented a bike from a local tourist shop.

Don't recommend renting a bike. Others seem to pass with relative ease. Bike was not good for the two hill climbs.

Warm down:

Stretched, rehydrated, and drank two recovery drinks.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Bad race start. Having water leak in led to some anxiety and running into people was a new experience.

good venue. Would do it again.
