Subject: Fast selling races

I had to stay up until midnight last night to be sure I got registered for a December trail run (I had been warned it would fill quickly).   Registration closed in 6 1/2 hours!  Granted it's limited to 600 runners for safety and impact reasons, but that's really fast!  There's already a wait list over 100.  I know IMs sell out in minutes or hours, but this is just a small local running race.  These people are serious!

What are some others' "must do" races that sell out fast?

River Cities Triathlon in Shreveport has sold out in less than three hours, though in recent years it's been more like a matter of days.

There's a local trail run here that sells out in like an hour. It's crazy! Luckily that's for the 11.5 mile event and I always did the 3.5 mile one, which never sold out.
